Making Effective Healthcare DecisionsNameInstitutionInstructorCourseDate Making Effective Healthcare DecisionsIt is important to make effective decisions in healthcare, which are meant to benefit patients as well as enable the healthcare facility to effectively perform its roles of providing healthcare services to the citizens of the United States (Cleverley & Cleverley, 2018). Some of the healthcare decisions may impact the management of a healthcare facility in different aspects which may include increasing or reducing costs incurred in the provision of healthcare services as well as the quality of healthcare provided by the facility (Cleverley & Cleverley, 2018). Based on the current situation facing the organization, which involves purchasing a new piece of technology that the competing hospital has already purchased, the management may adopt this strategy due to the benefits associated with the new technology (Cleverley & Cleverley, 2018). This will benefit the organization in different aspects, which include improved healthcare services as well as increased revenues if an agreement is developed between the physician and the healthcare organization (Rundio & Sigma Theta Tau International, 2016). Since the competitor organization has already adopted this technology, the other organization has no choice rather make improvements to ensure that patients are able to access these services, which will also lead to positive outcomes (Rundio & Sigma Theta Tau International, 2016). In making effective decisions relating to this aspect, it is important to consider some factors, which include the costs of purchasing the new piece of technology as well as the benefits associated with the technology (Rundio & Sigma Theta Tau International, 2016). If the benefits outweigh the cost, then the approach can be adopted. Another factor to consider is the impact of the new technology to the quality of healthcare provided by the healthcare facility, which is a major consideration (Rundio & Sigma Theta Tau International, 2016). The goal of healthcare faculties is to continuously improve the delivery of healthcare services, which in turn improves the health of patients by having positive outcomes. This consideration will guide the management in making an informed decision on whether or not to adopt this proposal (Cleverley & Cleverley, 2018).ReferencesCleverley, W. O., & Cleverley, J. O.
